A message from Craig Hoy MSP and your local Scottish Conservative and Unionist Councillors.
East Fortune Holdings Ltd have appealed against East Lothian Council’s
refusal of planning permission to Relocate East Links Family Park to East Fortune Farm (Ref: 23/00753/PM). Details of the appeal are available at:
https://www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk/CaseDetails.aspx?ID=125419
Craig Hoy MSP and your Conservative Councillors, Donna Collins and George McGuire oppose this development and urge residents to join them in submitting objections to the DPEA.
Key Concerns:
- Significant traffic increase in a rural area incapable of being safely accessed by foot, cycle or public transport.
- Increased reliance on private cars leading to higher carbon emissions, contrary to National Planning Framework 4.
- Safety risks due to inadequate site access and visibility on the B1377.
Unacceptable loss of prime agricultural land, contrary to National and Local Planning Policies.
The DPEA have advised that members of the public have until 26 September to make representations either by email to case officer, Claire Seidel at [email protected] OR by post to: Planning and Environmental Appeals Division, Scottish Government, Ground Floor, Hadrian House, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk, FK1 1XR.
When making a representation include the following reference: PPA-210-2101
